Hans Nebel, Violin, 1945, Mittenwald
A full-sounding Guarneri model violin made by Hans Nebel. Originally from Mittenwald, Hans Nebel worked in New York for Wurlitzer and returned to Mittenwald in 1945 The two-piece maple back is of narrow curl descending from the center joint. The two-piece spruce table is of even fine grain. The varnish is a reddish orange brown color over yellow ground. Measurements: Length of Back: 356 mm, Upper Bouts: 169 mm, Middle Bouts: 117 mm, Lower Bouts: 210 mm.
