Burritt Miller, Violin, 1997, Philadelphia
This Stradivarius model violin was made by Burritt Miller, trained in Cremona and a longtime alumnus of the Moennig Violin shop in Philadelphia. The two-piece maple back is of medium and broad curl. The two-piece spruce table is of fine grain. The varnish is an even toned red-brown color. Measurements: Length of Back: 354 mm, Upper Bouts: 165 mm, Middle Bouts: 112 mm, Lower Bouts: 204 mm.
