Harmony, Roy Smeck, Ukulele, 1950s, Chicago
A fun uke of the 1950s period! The top, back and sides are of solid mahogany, along with the neck and bridge. The fingerboard is grained brown celluloid-screwed to the neck. It also has the original asymmetrical cream colored tuner knobs of the same type used on the ‘Airline’ series of ukuleles. These are not, frankly, great tuners, but they are original. There are two solidy repaired cracks in the back that are really not unattractive. It’s a fun uke that also plays comfortably and sounds good. We’ll even include a gig bag.
