Martin, Style 0, Mandolin, 1915
This Style 0 Martin roundback mandolin was the base model for the Martin mandolin line. The body has 18 rosewood ribs, like a Style 1 model, but the peghead is solid without a cutout. The ebony fingerboard has 3 pearl dot position markers, and the headstock has the original nickel plated tuners. The spruce top has an oval soundhole with herringbone trim. The top is signed on the inside: #4711/ 10/19/15 / F.H.M. Overall, the mandolin is in excellent condition though the neck angle is a bit high. The original brown canvas bag is included. Measurement: nut width 1-3/16″, scale 13″.
