Every one of John Zeidler’s instruments we’ve ever seen has been fabulous, and this is no exception. John’s masterful craftsmanship is apparent in even the smallest details, from the sculpture of the top and back, to the layering of the binding, and even the finish work of the bridge and tailpiece. In sum, this is an exquisite work of art. John made this instrument for a friend and colleague who has taken careful care of it these many years and it is in excllent condition. The top of this mandolin is spruce, with vivid narrow flamed back and sides. The radiused ebony fingerboard has 18 full frests and 6 partial frets in the extension. The snakehead shaped headstock is outfitted with a pearl truss rod cover, gold plated tuners with pearloid buttons, and the signature Zeidler logo inlaid in abalone at the top of the peghead overlay. The scale length is just about 14″, with a nut width of 1-5/16″ and a body width of 10-1/4″. The original Harptone hard case is included. This is a one-of-a-kind Zeidler lefty mandolin!
