This mandolin is labeled: Gioacchino Trotto fecit/ Anno 1792 accosto le/ grade di S. Demetrio. It has twenty slightly fluted cypress staves with dark stained maple spacers. There are ten brass frets, an oval hole with pearl designs inlaid into red mastic, and an inlaid pickguard. Condition: requires restoration to the table binding and repair to a few cracks; otherwise intact with the original boxwood pegs. Comes in an old wood case.
