Gibson, AJ (Advanced Jumbo), Guitar, 1937
INQUIRE
This is the relatively rare and very desirable Gibson Advanced Jumbo. It has a rosewood body with white bindings, Adirondack spruce top with sunburst finish; the mahogany neck with white binding has a comfortable D-shape, with rosewood fingerboard with the typical diamond pearl inlay pattern, a nut width of just shy of 1-3/4″; It is completely original including tuners, pickguard, bridge and bridge-plate. There are several professionally repaired top cracks and a reglued center seam, but all look well repaired and are not at all unsightly, neck reset in 2012 by David Musselwhite; some normal pickwear, and overall quite a nice example of a period AJ, in overall very good condition, with later hard flight case
