The four-string Melody or Tango banjo is usually tuned EADG like a mandolin, but with single course strings. This Vega instruments has a maple rim with a simple Little Wonder tone-ring. The two-piece maple neck has a 16-fret ebony fingerboard with a 14″ scale. The 8″ maple rim has a period skin head (likely original), Presto Ideal tailpiece, and a maple 8-section pie plate resonator. The peghead has an ebonized veneer with the VEGA star. The nut width is 1-10/32″. The instruments does not have a case.
