Vega, Pete Seeger, Five-String Banjo, 1961
This is an early version of the Pete Seeger model first produced by Vega in 1958. The 10-15/16″ Tubaphone rim has the bracket band with 24 brackets & the maple dowel of the early models. The two-piece neck has white binding and 25 frets (scale is 32″). The tuners are offset geared with a leater geared fifth-peg (original is in the case). The head was signed by Pete Seeger in red marker (with his iconic banjo drawing) as well as inside the rim. Original hard case included. Excellent condition.
