10. MARTIN, Style 1 Soprano, late 1940s, A nice clean example of the style 1 mahogany uke with a Bergstrom Music decal on the back of the peghead. Rosewood fingerboard, mahogany bridge, more modern Grover tuners that work very nicely. Really nice playable action. The brown chipboard case is probably original. In really excellent condition. 11. MARTIN, Style 2, c.1920s, Body of solid mahogany with cream colored plastic binding at the top and back. Wonderful original spring-loaded friction pegs with cream colored buttons. Dark rosewood fingerboard and ebony nut, with the C.F. Martin brand at the back of head. There are two short hairline cracks in the back (at either side of the C- bouts), and one hairline top crack (above the left side of the bridge). 12. MARTIN, Style 2, 1940s, Body of solid mahogany, with a rosewood fingerboard and bridge and cream colored top and back binding. The friction pegs have cream colored buttons. In beautiful, nearly perfect condition, with the original pebbled black soft case. (Our #31980) $1,200.
13. MARTIN, Style 2, c.1940, Body of solid mahogany with white binding, and a rosewood fingerboard and bridge. Friction tuning pegs with white plastic buttons. There are two neatly glued back cracks. 14. MARTIN, Style 2, c.1935, Body of solid mahogany with white top and back binding, rosewood fingerboard and bridge. Very nice condition with no cracks, no wear and nice action. Small white dot markers at frets 5, 7 and 10. Gold C.F. Martin decal on the front of the headstock, and no stamp on the back of the peghead. Newer hard case included. (Our #30308) $1,350.
15. MARTIN, Style 0 Soprano, c.1920, Body of solid mahogany with no body binding, rosewood friction pegs, and a thin rosewood fingerboard & extension with skinny bar frets. No top cracks, but a long back crack that is nicely repaired. The bridge also neatly replaced with a proper C.F. Martin Co. Bridge. Otherwise very good condition with a hard case included. 16. MARTIN, Style 1 Soprano, 1916, Body of solid mahogany with rosewood top binding. No headstock decal, and there is a C.F. Martin brand at the back of the head. Rosewood tuning pegs and rosewood fingerboard without fret markers. Ebony nut and maple saddle. Action is high - 7/32" at the 10th fret. There is one hard to see hairline top crack next to treble side of the fingerboard. A completely original & very early Martin uke from the second year of uke manufacturing. 17. MARTIN, Style 2, 1940s, Body of solid mahogany with white celluloid top & back bindings. There are three glued back cracks which we’ve tried to make more evident in the photos. Otherwise very good condition with the original canvas case. (Our #26226) $850.
18. REGAL, PROBABLY, Soprano, c.1920-30, Body of solid mahogany with five-layer wooden top binding, no back binding, rosewood fingerboard with small pearl dots. Body style is similar to a Style 0 Martin. Very interesting inverted cone neck block. The 13-1/8 inch scale is a bit shorter than a Martin scale. Action is slightly high. 19. S. S. STEWART BRAND, Soprano, Body of solid koa with black top and back binding, with 12 frets to the body. The back and sides are in good condition but there is a large patch repair in the top to the left of the bridge. Despite the repair, it sounds good and has plenty of character. (Our #30425) $250.
20. WASHBURN BY LYON & HEALY, No.5318 Deluxe Soprano, c.1925, Body of solid koa with grained celluloid bindings. Rosewood fingerboard with 12 frets to the body & 5 frets over the body. Raised celluloid soundhole ring, smile-shaped bridge with four tiny celluloid bridge pins, and a celluloid kite-shaped inlay on the head. Gilt floral garland transfer decoration on the lower bout of the top. Completely original & in excellent condition, with a sweet and mellow sound, and a hard case. (Our #31442) $950.
