New Guilds
1. GUILD, D-40 Traditional, NEW, The American-made D-40 Traditional embodies the features that have made the D-40 one of Guild’s most beloved and revered models. Using a high-grade solid Sitka spruce top and solid African mahogany back and sides, Guild adds scalloped Adirondack braces for power, nuance and responsiveness. The D-40 Traditional’s three piece mahogany and walnut neck is topped with an Indian rosewood fingerboard and is joined to the body with an authentic dovetail joint. This classic dreadnought is handsomely appointed with a tortoiseshell pickguard, rosette, and binding. A lustrous nitrocellulose lacquer provides an elegant finish to this masterpiece, optimizing the beauty and resonant qualities of its premium woods. The scale length is 25-5/8" and nut width is 1-11/16". Each D-40 Traditional includes a hand-signed, numbered certificate of authenticity, and ships with a Guild humidified hardshell case. Proudly made in the USA. (Our #31928) $2499.
2. GUILD, M-20E, NEW, Guild’s iconic M-20 was the first guitar off the production line in 1967, when the company had grown so much that they relocated to a new factory in Westerly, RI. Nearly 50 years later, history has repeated itself in a brand new, state-of-the-art facility in California. The M-20 is a concert size acoustic guitar built with solid mahogany top, back, and sides, informally nicknamed "the Nick Drake guitar" for its inclusion on the album art for Drake’s album, Bryter Layter. It features a rosewood bridge and fingerboard, bone nut and saddle, and an extremely light satin finish that allows this guitar to truly sing. The M-20’s modest appointments include a vintage style rosette and Guild’s peak logo inlaid in mother-of-pearl on the headstock. Each M-20 comes with a hand-signed, numbered certificate of authenticity, and ships with a hardshell case. Nut width is 1-3/4" and scale is 24-3/4" (Our #31679) $1300.
3. GUILD, M-40 Troubadour, NEW, Each M-40 comes with a hand-signed, numbered certificate of authenticity, and ships with a humidified hardshell case. Made in California, and formerly known as the F-20, now back under a new name and designed with some of the modern techniques pioneered by master luthier, Ren Ferguson. This small-bodied American-made sweetheart still radiates the same, charming vintage character. The M-40 Troubadour’s solid Sitka spruce top is paired with solid African mahogany back and sides. It has a well-rounded tone that is perfect for fingerstyle playing and light strumming. The concert- size body is comfortable and lightweight and features a rosewood bridge and fingerboard, and a bone nut and saddle. The scale length is 24-3/4" and the nut width is 1-3/4". Satin varnish gives this guitar its familiar, broken-in look and feel, while also allowing it to breathe. (Our #31927) $1699.
